Terms and Conditions

HOTEL 8 TAGAYTAY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Check-in Time is 2:00 PM & Check-out Time is 12:00 noon. Any extension of stay must be confirmed with the Hotel Manager / Duty Manager.

  2. Hotel 8 Tagaytay is not responsible for lost or misplaced items in the Hotel. For your security, a safe deposit box is provided in each room.

  3. Extension of current stay shall be subjected to room availability and rate adjustments.

  4. A Php500 charge applies for each Hotel Keycard that is damaged or misplaced.

  5. Partying is not allowed in hotel rooms. A fine of Php5,000 will be imposed for any violation of this rule.

  6. Pets are not allowed in hotel rooms. Violations will result in a fine equal to the full room rate for the stay.

  7. Smoking inside the hotel room is not allowed, a deep cleaning surcharge shall be applied.

  8. By signing on the booking registration form, Guest is hereby agreeing to the reservation details and authorize Hotel 8 Tagaytay to charge the guest with the amount outstanding when they check-out. This will consent the guest to the charge being made without signing the final invoice.

  9. Guests with non-cancellable reservations will be liable for the full duration of original booking.

  10. Only registered guests with valid identification will be allowed access into the hotel room by Hotel management.

  11. Guests should ensure that their hotel room door is properly secure at all times. Hotel 8 Tagaytay management cannot be held responsible for any personal items and valuables left in guest rooms. Safety Deposit Box are provided and recommended for guest use.

  12. Registered guests will be held responsible for any missing or damaged items (stained linens, damaged furniture) in their hotel room or any internal/external areas of the Hotel. This liability extends to both registered guests and their visitors.

  13. Hotel towels are provided to be used for the Guests’ personal use and prohibited for the same to be removed from the room. Any towels or other amenities provided by the hotel which fall short during room inspection, will be charged to the Guests’ account.

  14. Guest/Visitors do so at their own risk and that Hotel Management shall not be liable for any such personal injury, death or property loss and/or damage.

  15. Guest(s) will be held responsible for any loss or damage to hotel property caused by themselves, their visitor(s) or any person(s) for whom they are responsible.

  16. Hotel 8 Tagaytay shall always be deemed to be in full and absolute possession and control of the whole of the hotel premises.

  17. The management reserves to itself the right to add, alter or amend any of the above terms, conditions and rules.

  18. The hotel reserves the right to charge per night cancellation fee should the guest cancel any nights from its originally intended length of stay.

  19. The undersigned in the booking registration form agrees to make immediate payment of all charges incurred upon receipt of statement or on departure, any charges after departure will be charged to the method of payment marked and a statement will be forwarded by post.

  20. Visitors are not permitted inside the Guest rooms after 11:00 PM.

  21. Photo ID proof issued by the government is compulsory for all guests to present upon check-in.

  22. In case of any charges not cleared at the time of check-out, the credit card information and the acknowledgement on this registration card will be considered as the authorization for the uncharged settled amounts.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Registration Policy – In accordance with local regulations, guests must present a valid passport or government-issued photo ID card upon check-in and ensure that a fully filled-up registration form has been submitted via the online registration portal or completed during the check-in process at the hotel. 

  2. Number of Guests per Room – All rooms are designed to provide a comfortable stay. The rooms with two queen beds can accommodate four (4) adults and two (2) children, while the rooms with one king bed can accommodate two (2) adults and one (1) child.

  3. Children | Legal Age – A guest should be at least eighteen (18) years old to be allowed to check in alone. We deeply care for the well-being of our children and prioritize their safety. To ensure this, we kindly request that children aged 11 and below are always accompanied by an adult and are only allowed to stay in rooms without a balcony. 

  4. Security Deposit – To provide a hassle-free stay, you can charge all restaurant, in-room dining, minibar consumption, and all other miscellaneous hotel charges to your hotel room, which we will deduct from your security deposit. A valid credit card is required upon check-in.

  5. Care of Room – Please be aware that upon check-in, you are entrusted with the care of your room and its various furnishings. This includes the set of towels and linens turned over to you; remote controls for the TV, cable, and aircon; lamps, table, personal refrigerator, coffee machine, luggage rack, clothes hangers, and other articles -- all included in a checklist that Housekeeping will verify upon your check-out. If any item is found to be missing or severely damaged, we regret that a reasonable charge will be added to your account. This is for us to be able to replace or repair the affected item without having to increase costs, which will be to the detriment of all other guests.

  6. Standard Check-in and Check-out Time. Check-in time is 2:00 PM; Check-out time is not later than 12:00 PM to give Housekeeping sufficient time to prepare the room for the next check-in. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to room availability. If available, charges may apply.

  8. Use of the Balcony – The balcony is a great place to relax and enjoy with family and friends. Please be guided by the following safety guidelines.
    - Don’t take unnecessary risks, particularly if you’ve been drinking.
    - Don’t stand on balcony furniture.
    - Don’t sit, lean, or climb over the balcony glass rail.
    - Don’t jump or climb from one balcony to another.
    - If you are accompanied by children, we kindly request that they stay in our rooms without a balcony.

  9. Noise – Loud gatherings, partying, and inappropriate behavior are strictly prohibited inside the rooms, lobby and corridors.

  10. Pets – We love pets as much as anyone else but chooses to keep them at home when traveling. In deference to the possible sensitivity of other guests to the presence of animals, we regret to have to prohibit dogs, cats, and other pets from entering or staying on the premises.

  11. Room Cards –Each room comes with two (2) room cards. Please keep it safe at all times. This will give you access to the ground floor glass door, elevator and your room.

  12. Visitor Policy – We would gladly take care of your guests, but all visitors must register at the Front Desk and strictly follow the hotel accommodation guidelines for security and safety purposes. We also like to inform you that all visitors must leave the guest rooms by 10 pm or additional fees will be applied for overnight stays.

  13. Smoking – Smoking is strictly prohibited in all the rooms, corridors and gardens, in compliance with Presidential Executive Order No. 26 (EO 26) of May 2017, otherwise known as the Nationwide Smoking Ban. You may smoke in the designated areas, but please dispose of your cigarette ends appropriately using the standing ashtrays provided.

  14. Illegal Substance – Possession of an illegal substance inside the hotel is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal from the hotel.

  15. Discounts. Government-granted discounts such as Senior Citizens’ Discounts and PWD Discounts or those granted by the Hotel through promotions and offers shall not be used in conjunction with other discounts, special offers and/or promotions.

  16. Parking. Free parking is available at the Hotel. Availability is limited and is provided on a first come, first served basis.

  17. Valet Parking. Hotel 8 Tagaytay offers valet parking, please ask us for assistance.

  18. Special Requests. If you have any special requests, guests must advise the Front Office at the time of making the reservation. The Hotel reserves the right not to accept reservations that are conditional upon any special request being met.

  19. Disabilities and Medical Problems. If you or any member of your party has any medical problem or disability that may affect your stay, please tell us before making your reservation so that we can advise on the suitability of the chosen room. In any event, you must give full details in writing when making your reservation

  20. Guest Behavior. We do not allow nor permit the staging of indecent, lewd and/or other shows or presentations that go against normally acceptable moral norms or standards. Furthermore, we shall have the right to stop such acts if client conceals such intention from the Hotel’s reputation and image.

  21. Rates. Rates are quoted in Philippine Peso and may increase without notice. Rates are exclusive of 12% VAT. Rates are subject to change without prior notice.

  22. Our Liability. The Hotel will not be responsible for failure to execute obligations specified herein directly or indirectly occasioned by or through or in consequence of:

    • act(s) and/or omission(s) of the person(s) affected;

    • act(s) and/or omission(s) of a third party unconnected with the provision of the accommodation contracted for and which were unforeseeable or unavoidable;

    • unusual or unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all due care had been exercised; or

    • An event which we could not, even with all due care, have foreseen or forestalled.

    • We will not be liable for any loss or damage or injury to the person or property of the client or any of its guests, sustained while in the Hotel premises and/or outside of the hotel for activities coordinated by the hotel except when such loss, damage or injury is due to the willful act or gross negligence of the Hotel or any of the employees.

    • For your security, a safe deposit box is provided in selected rooms and at the Front Office.

  23. Privacy. The security of guests is of prime importance to the Hotel. It is committed to protect your privacy, the confidentiality and security of personal information you provided us. The information you provide is necessary to process and confirm your reservation; and may include collecting this information in a personal profile. We may also collect information to allow us to properly process the payment of accounts. The information you provide us may be used to:

    • Contact you in the event of an amendment to any reservations you hold

    • Create a profile to assist with any further reservations you made

    • To inform you by email, if you have so agreed when registering on our site, of our special offers and promotions that may be relevant to you

  24. Modifications. These Terms and Conditions are subject to change without prior notice.
